Puma sighting

This adventure begins at 5:30 a.m. in summer and 7:00 a.m. in winter, depending on the available daylight. We start the day with the thrill of sunrise over the imposing Lake Sarmiento, where the warm, soft morning light provides the perfect illumination for capturing spectacular photographs of the natural surroundings. We take advantage of the early morning calm to head directly to the serene Laguna Azul (Blue Lagoon).
This idyllic setting is ideal for observing waterfowl and photographing wildlife in its natural habitat. We then continue our journey to an area known as puma territory. There, we proceed with stealth and patience, understanding that observing these felines requires absolute respect for their environment. Our guides share their extensive knowledge of puma behavior, increasing the chances of unique encounters.
Around midday, we take a break for lunch before continuing our photographic tour. Later, we head towards one of Torres del Paine’s hidden treasures: the enchanting Laguna de Los Cisnes (Swan Lagoon). After an 8-10-hour journey, we returned to the city with our memories full of unforgettable landscapes and experiences.

Puma sighting
Inicio del recorrido
- Pick up: La hora de salida varía según la estación:
- Verano: 04:30-05:00 hrs
- Invierno: 07:00 hrs (aprox.)
- Traslado hacia el Lago Sarmiento, punto de ingreso al Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. Desde allí se accede a Laguna Azul, donde comienza la experiencia de búsqueda de pumas.
Tramo de búsqueda
- El recorrido se desarrolla en el sector comprendido entre Lago Sarmiento, Laguna Amarga y Laguna Azul, reconocido por su alta presencia de fauna silvestre.
- La duración total de esta ruta es de 8 a 10 horas, con caminatas y observación guiada.
Pausa y almuerzo
- Alrededor de las 12:00 hrs, se realiza un descanso para disfrutar de un box lunch en un entorno natural privilegiado.
Tarde de exploración
- Continuación del itinerario hacia Laguna Los Cisnes, con nuevas oportunidades de avistamiento y fotografía.
- Regreso al punto de inicio del tramo.
Retorno
- Tras completar la jornada, se emprende el regreso a Puerto Natales, estimando la llegada después de 8 a 10 horas de recorrido.
